The company
wants to be closer to customers and to avoid country risk
Offshore
software developer Luxoft transported 536 developers from Russia and the
Ukraine to Poland, Romania and Bulgaria. This is stated in the financial
statements of the company for fiscal year 2015, ended March 31, 2015. In the
current fiscal year, the company plans to take out of Russia and Ukraine more employees.
This is a part
of Luxoft’s program “Global Upgrade”, which assumes employees to be spread
across regions in order to reduce operating and macroeconomic risks. In the
long term Luxoft wants to have no more than 25% of the company's personnel in each
office, the report said.
In Ukraine
today operates 42% of the company's personnel. Last year this share was 49%,
while in Russia this figure was reduced to 25% against 30% in the previous
fiscal year, according to company statements.
